In a thrilling turn of events for music lovers, the legendary American rock bands Journey and Cheap Trick have announced a joint tour of the UK and Ireland.

Two iconic musical acts, reaching their 50-year milestone in 2024, plan to take their fans on an incredible journey across the UK and Ireland from October to November.

With a rich repertoire of classic hits, fans can expect an electrifying night filled with timeless melodies and powerful performances from two of rock music’s most influential acts.

Journey: A Rock Legacy Spanning Five Decades

Founded in San Francisco in 1973, Journey has become a global sensation with hit songs like “Don’t Stop Believin”, “Open Arms,” and “Faithfully.” They dominated in the ’70s and ’80s.

Journey has gone through many changes in the past 5 decades. Performing at the UK, Ireland tour is the last remaining original member of the band, Neal Schon (lead guitarist). Joining him are his present comrades – Jonathan Cain (keyboardist/backing vocalist since 1980), Jason Derlatka (keyboardist/vocalist), Deen Castronovo (drummer/vocalist), Todd Jensen (bassist), and Arnel Pineda (lead vocalist).

As a performer, Journey was also added to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

Their latest studio album, Freedom, was released in 2022, showcasing their undying passion for creating music that resonates with generations.

Cheap Trick: A Powerhouse of Pop-Rock Energy

Hailing from Illinois, Cheap Trick has been a force to reckon with in the world of power-pop since its formation in 1974.

Fun-loving and mischievous, they proved that bands don’t have to take themselves seriously to fill stadiums. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last 2016, Cheap Trick has been touring incessantly with great showmanship and musicality and never lost their sense of humour.

With hits like “Surrender,” “The Flame,” “I Want You to Want Me,” and “Dream Police,” this quartet’s energy and creativity have influenced countless artists across various genres.

The album, “In Another World”, was released in 2021 and was met with universal critical approval and appreciation.

The Power of Collaboration: A Rocking Partnership

The collaboration between Journey and Cheap Trick goes beyond just a tour; it represents a shared love for music and the enduring bond between two iconic bands.

The tour marks a special occasion for both bands and their devoted fans as they celebrate the milestones of their long-lasting musical careers.

It’s been too long since we’ve seen you all! We are all very excited to be coming back to the UK and playing with our good friends Cheap Trick, who I’ve known and played with since the 70s. It’s going to be a great party for all!
